SriReisen — Payments, Deposits & Financial Information

This policy explains how deposits and payments work, what methods are accepted, and what to do if you have questions about a payment.

1. Accepted Payment Methods

SriReisen currently accepts the following payment methods:

Credit & Debit Cards

Visa, Mastercard, and other major cards via our secure payment gateway

Bank Transfer (SWIFT)

International bank transfer — details provided in your booking confirmation

Online Payment Gateway

Secure online payment link sent upon booking confirmation

2. Deposit & Payment Schedule

2.1 Deposit

A deposit is required to confirm and secure your booking. The deposit amount will be stated in your personalised proposal.

Standard deposit

30% of the total tour price

High-demand periods

50% of the total tour price (e.g. Christmas, New Year, peak safari season)

Last-minute bookings

Full payment may be required if the tour starts within 14 days of booking

2.2 Final Payment

Standard tours

Full balance due no later than 30 days before tour start date

Short-stay / day tours

Full payment due at time of booking or no later than 7 days before

Late bookings

If booking within 30 days of tour start, full payment due immediately

A payment reminder will be sent to you before your balance due date. SriReisen reserves the right to treat the booking as cancelled if the final payment is not received by the due date, in which case the cancellation policy will apply.

2.3 Payment Confirmation

SriReisen will send you written confirmation once each payment is received. Please retain these confirmations for your records. If you do not receive a payment confirmation within 3 business days, please contact us.

3. Currencies

SriReisen quotes and accepts payment in the following currencies:

USD (US Dollar)

Available for all international bookings

EUR (Euro)

Available for EU/European bookings

LKR (Sri Lankan Rupee)

Available for local and on-arrival payments

The currency applicable to your booking will be stated in your booking confirmation. Exchange rate fluctuations between the time of booking and the time of payment are the responsibility of the traveller.

4. Payment Security

4.1 Card Payments

All card payments are processed through a secure, encrypted third-party payment gateway. SriReisen does not store, access, or process your full credit or debit card details at any point. All card transactions are subject to the security standards of the payment provider.

4.2 Bank Transfers

When paying by bank transfer, please use the exact reference provided in your booking confirmation. SriReisen cannot be responsible for payments made to incorrect accounts or with incorrect references. Please ensure you are using the banking details provided directly by SriReisen and be vigilant about payment fraud.

4.3 Payment Fraud Warning

Important: SriReisen will never ask you to transfer money to a personal bank account or a third-party account not explicitly stated in your official booking confirmation. If you receive unexpected or changed payment instructions, contact us immediately at info@srireisen.com or +94 76 585 3276 to verify before making any payment.

5. Late or Failed Payments

If a payment is not received by the due date:

  • SriReisen will contact you by email and/or WhatsApp to notify you of the outstanding payment
  • A grace period of up to 3 business days may be granted at SriReisen’s discretion
  • If payment remains outstanding after the grace period, SriReisen reserves the right to cancel the booking and apply the applicable cancellation fees

6. Prices and Price Changes

All prices quoted by SriReisen are based on costs at the time of the proposal. Once a booking is confirmed and deposit received, the price is fixed except in the following limited circumstances:

  • Increases in transport costs, including fuel surcharges
  • Increases in taxes, levies, or fees imposed by government or third parties
  • Significant adverse changes in exchange rates

Any such increase will be communicated in writing. If the total price increase exceeds 8% of the confirmed tour price, you have the right to cancel the booking without penalty and receive a full refund.

7. Bank Charges & Transaction Fees

SriReisen quotes the total amount payable for your tour. Any additional charges imposed by your bank, card provider, or intermediary financial institution — including international transfer fees, currency conversion fees, and card processing surcharges — are your responsibility and are not included in the quoted tour price.

8. Insolvency & EU Consumer Notice

SriReisen does not operate under an EU-registered insolvency protection scheme.

This means that in the unlikely event of SriReisen’s insolvency, EU Package Travel
Directive protections that require insolvency cover would not apply.

SriReisen strongly advises all travellers to:
• Pay by credit card or a method with built-in buyer protection where possible
• Purchase comprehensive travel insurance including trip cancellation cover
• Retain all booking confirmations and payment receipts

9. Receipts & Invoices

SriReisen will provide a payment receipt for every payment made. If you require a formal invoice for tax or accounting purposes, please request this at the time of booking or payment by emailing info@srireisen.com.
